Sirius Black's badly painted face
Sirius Black visage Mal peint
I was eagerly awaiting this Sirius Black statue. I already have the Dumbledore and McGonagall statues in the same collection, which are superb. But what a disappointment when I unpacked this one! First, the hands are separate from the figure in the packaging, and unfortunately, they don't stay in place. They're just resting there, and it's impossible to secure them! I'll have to remember to do this when dusting, otherwise they'll fall off and break. Second, why make such a wide base for such a small figure...? Finally, and this is what really disappointed me, the beard is very poorly painted. It's catastrophic; the paint runs in places, so much so that there's a brown line on one of the cheeks! The character in the film doesn't have a scar, if I remember correctly. In the photos, the statue doesn't have this mark; I checked carefully. The beard was obviously painted hastily. It's unacceptable. What a shame for an object that could have been so beautiful.
C'est avec impatience que j'attendais cette statuette de Sirius Black. J'ai déjà dans la même collection celles de Dumbledore et de MC Gonagall qui sont superbes. Mais quelle déception lorsque j'ai déballé celle-ci. Premièrement les mains sont à part de la figurine dans l'emballage, et malheureusement elle ne tiennent pas. Elles sont juste simplement posées et il est impossible de les fixer ! Il faudra que je m'en souvienne en faisant la poussière sinon elles tomberont et ce sera la casse assurée. Ensuite pourquoi faire un socle si large pour un si petit personnage...? Enfin et c'est ce qui m'a vraiment extrêmement déçu, la barbe est vraiment très mal peinte. C'est catastrophique, la peinture déborde par endroits si bien qu'il y a un trait marron sur une des joues !! Le personnage du film n'a pas de cicatrice si je me souvient bien. Sur les photos la statuette n'a pas cette marque j'ai bien vérifié. La barbe a été peinte à la va vite c'est évident. C'est inadmissible. Quel dommage pour un objet qui aurait pu être si beau.
