The Jungle Book

I am a big fan of Walt Disney films. Many were a part of my childhood and both the old and the new continue to amaze me. So it was with joy that I discovered this superb Disney Tradition collection and the magnificent creations of the artist Jim Shore whose details are of great finesse. I now own many pieces and I even pre-ordered new ones. The Jungle Book is a great classic and it is especially the very first film that I went to see at the cinema when I was little. It was therefore obvious that I would want to have it in my collection one day. Given the really expensive price of the only Disney Tradition Jim Shore statuette that existed concerning this film, I waited a long time before ordering it. I just unwrapped it and I was overjoyed at the idea of seeing it. However, it was probably bound to be disappointing at least once. This is unfortunately the case for this article. Why such a high price (although it has recently dropped) for such a poorly designed object (in my opinion of course). Many characters from the film are represented a little too well so that the artist perhaps did not know how to place them. So much so that they end up in a circle around the base with a huge void inside. Balloo finds himself stuck at the bottom of the decor, his head touching that of Kaa the python. It would have been better to put fewer characters especially since some are missing in this case (at least the little elephant and the vultures which are part of the anthology scenes of the film). In addition, the details lack finesse for my taste. Be careful, Moogli as well as the leaf that the monkey is holding are very fragile and bend a little when you touch them. I would have preferred to have several statuettes from the Jungle Book with fewer characters on them. However, I have Frozen 2 which is part of the same collection and whose details are splendid (you will compare by looking at the photos that I add). In short, if Jim Shore decides to create other statuettes of the film with fewer characters, I will buy them after reselling this one. This is the first time I have been disappointed by this collection, it's not so bad because I now own dozens of them and they are splendid.
Je suis un grand fan des films de Walt Disney. Beaucoup ont bercés mon enfance et les anciens comme les nouveaux continuent à m'émerveiller. C'est donc avec joie que j'ai découvert cette superbe collection Disney Tradition et les magnifiques créations de l'artiste Jim Shore dont les détails sont d'une grande finesse. . Je possède à présent de nombreuses pièces et j'ai même pré-commandé des nouveautés. Le Livre De La Jungle est un grand classique et c'est surtout le tout premier film que je suis allé voir au cinéma quand j'étais petit. Il était donc évident que je veuille un jour l'avoir dans ma collection. Vu le prix vraiment trop cher de la seule statuette Disney Tradition Jim Shore qui existaient concernant ce film j'ai donc attendu longtemps avant de la commander. Je viens de la déballer et j'étais fou de joie à l'idée de la voir. Seulement voilà il fallait probablement bien que je sois une fois déçu. C'est malheureusement le cas pour cet article. Pourquoi un prix aussi élevé (quoiqu'il a dernièrement baissé) pour un objet si mal conçu (selon mon avis bien sûr). De nombreux personnages du film sont représentés un peu trop si bien que l'artiste ne savait peut être pas comment les placer. Si bien qu'ils se retrouvent en rond autour du socle avec un énorme vide à l'intérieur. Balloo se retrouve plaqué au font du décor sa tête touchant celle de Kaa le python. Il aurait mieux valu mettre moins de personnages surtout qu'il en manque dans ce cas (au moins le petit éléphant et les vautours qui font partie des scènes d' anthologie du film). Des plus les détails manquent de finesse à mon goût. Attention Moogli ainsi que la feuille que tient le singe sont très fragiles et se plient un peu lorsqu'on les touche. J'aurais préféré posséder plusieurs statuette du livre de la jungle avec moins de personnages dessus. J'ai pourtant La Reine des Neiges 2 qui fait partie de la même collection et dont les détails sont splendides (vous comparerez en regardant les photos que j'ajoute). Bref si Jim Shore décide de créer d'autre statuettes du film avec moins de personnages je les achèterai après avoir revendu celle-ci. C'est la première fois que je suis déçu par cette collection ce n'est pas si grave caf j'en possède à présent des dizaines et elles sont splendides.

A really well done piece. All the characters of the cartoon are depicted perfectly and are in harmony with each other. The colors are very bright. The only flaw, if I may say so, is the price a little too high. That said, this statuette is superb!
Un pezzo davvero ben riuscito. Tutti i personaggi del cartone sono raffigurati alla perfezione e sono in armonia tra loro. I colori sono vivacissimi. L' unica pecca, se posso permettermi è il prezzo un po' troppo elevato. Detto ciò, questa statuetta è superba!

Presence of imperfections. The tiger's head is not perfectly fitted and there is a scratch on the leg, for this reason I was not completely satisfied, also considering the high purchase price.
