Superb Cinderella figurine
I'm a big fan of old animated films created without the aid of 3D. The characters and sets were hand-drawn and painted. The animation was realistic, and the animators created superb special effects without computers. Sleeping Beauty is proof of this, as are Cinderella and many other Disney films. Cinderella has many iconic scenes. One of my favorites is when she washes the floor while singing, and the soap bubbles float by, reflecting her image and changing colors. What a fantastic job the artists did to bring this wonderful scene to life! I collect Disney figurines, especially those by the artist Jim Shore. When I saw that he had created one depicting this famous scene, I was delighted and immediately pre-ordered it. The figurine is beautiful. The face is lovely. Admittedly, there's no reflection of Cinderella's face in the bubble she's admiring herself in. The soap bubbles are gray and not round (that's Jim Shore's style of creating carved wood effects). But the figurine is still well-made. Just a minor flaw where the paint on the leg bleeds onto the base. This figurine is a wonderful addition to my Disney collection, the vast majority of which comes from the Cadeau City website, which I'm very happy with.
