The Jungle Book
I am a big fan of Walt Disney films. Many were a part of my childhood and both the old and the new continue to amaze me. So it was with joy that I discovered this superb Disney Tradition collection and the magnificent creations of the artist Jim Shore whose details are of great finesse. I now own many pieces and I even pre-ordered new ones. The Jungle Book is a great classic and it is especially the very first film that I went to see at the cinema when I was little. It was therefore obvious that I would want to have it in my collection one day. Given the really expensive price of the only Disney Tradition Jim Shore statuette that existed concerning this film, I waited a long time before ordering it. I just unwrapped it and I was overjoyed at the idea of seeing it. However, it was probably bound to be disappointing at least once. This is unfortunately the case for this article. Why such a high price (although it has recently dropped) for such a poorly designed object (in my opinion of course). Many characters from the film are represented a little too well so that the artist perhaps did not know how to place them. So much so that they end up in a circle around the base with a huge void inside. Balloo finds himself stuck at the bottom of the decor, his head touching that of Kaa the python. It would have been better to put fewer characters especially since some are missing in this case (at least the little elephant and the vultures which are part of the anthology scenes of the film). In addition, the details lack finesse for my taste. Be careful, Moogli as well as the leaf that the monkey is holding are very fragile and bend a little when you touch them. I would have preferred to have several statuettes from the Jungle Book with fewer characters on them. However, I have Frozen 2 which is part of the same collection and whose details are splendid (you will compare by looking at the photos that I add). In short, if Jim Shore decides to create other statuettes of the film with fewer characters, I will buy them after reselling this one. This is the first time I have been disappointed by this collection, it's not so bad because I now own dozens of them and they are splendid.

A really well done piece. All the characters of the cartoon are depicted perfectly and are in harmony with each other. The colors are very bright. The only flaw, if I may say so, is the price a little too high. That said, this statuette is superb!
